INOvent CALIBRATION

DAILY 1 pt. CAL.
DONE WHILE ON PATIENT
  • Push CALIBRATION for calibration menu (Calibration of Sensors screen comes up)
  • Using the dial knob, highlight LOW RANGE (room air)  NO, NO2, O2
  • Push dial knob to start calibration (Cal. can last up to 5 minutes)
  • Wait until the calibration is completed and has passed
  • Exit to normal screen
  • Record results on the Nitric Oxide Unit Calibration Record

MONTHLY 2 pt. CAL.
DO NOT DO WHILE ON PATIENT
  • Push CALIBRATION for Calibration Menu
  • Using the dial knob, highlight HIGH RANGE (cal. gas)  NO 
  • Connect sample line to NO tank (teal colored label - NO 45 ppm)
  • Turn on tank
  • Push dial knob to start calibration (Cal. of sensors…NO Range screen comes up)
  • Wait for NO to stabilize
  • Set 'Calibration NO' to cal gas value by highlighting Calibration NO and pushing dial knob (will say 45.0ppm - push again - will say 'In Progress')
  • Make sure calibration passes
  • Turn off tank and disconnect sample line
  • Return to Calibration Menu 
  • Using the dial knob, highlight HIGH RANGE (cal. gas)  NO2
  • Connect sample line to NO2 (peach colored label - NO2 10 ppm)
  • Turn on tank
  • Push dial knob to start calibration (Cal. of sensors…NO2 Range screen)
  • Wait for NO2 to stabilize
  • Set 'Cal. NO2' to cal. gas value by highlighting Calibration NO2 and pushing dial - knob (will say 10ppm - push again - will say 'In Progress')
  • Make sure calibration passes
  • Turn off tank and disconnect sample line
  • Exit to normal display
  • Record results on the Nitric Oxide Unit Calibration Record
